Something I don't know much about

Got a phonecall yesterday from someone who has just been diagnosed with pleurisy. Have booked them a session of reiki but has anyone used any herbs for this complaint? - no history of chest infection that they can remember from last few months - possibly caused by breathing in wood dust and/or filler - presently awaiting feedback from x-ray, which being a holiday they will have to wait till Tuesday now. Bet if they were a 'really useful' MP or a member of our ever scrounging royals the result would have instantaneous etc etc

So you want to be thin!

It's that time of year again when lots of us join gyms and think about our weight but think about this.
If 100 people go on a DIET 96 will actually put weight on in the long term. DIETS are a con! Have you not seen the how big the industry is behind all these products. If the products really worked the companies would go out of business. DIETS DO NOT WORK - they are guaranteed not to work - their only function is to genereate vast profits for the diet industry. STOP WASTING YOUR MONEY.
So what to do? Go somewhere like Weight Watchers. This group encorages 'healthy eating'. Think about what you eat. Supplement this group with EFT and/or hypnotherapy. As a hypnotherapist I never use the word DIET, look at the first three letters. Is your subconscious mind really going to let you carry on with something that will result in D I E ?
Hand on heart. Do you do enough exercise? Could you walk upstairs instead of using the lift at work or the escalater at the shops? Could you get of the bus a stop earlier. Interesting article in the press yesterday: for long term weight-loss and healthful benefits having to walk a dog on a daily basis is far more effective than an expensive gym membership that you will have given up on by the middle of February. Now I just need a brand of dog that won't make me sneeze!
New Year tip: put the word 'aspartemene' (that might be spelt wrong) or sugar substitute into your search engine and really give yourself a jolt! You're being conned if you think they are healthier than sugar. Happy healthy eating.....

Merry Christmas

To anyone that has clicked into here and anyone that has a peep on a regular basis I would just like to wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year.

Cancer – Chemotherapy is not the only option

During the last three years, numerous people across the world have achieved remarkable results using the Nature’s Sunshine cancer programme. The full programme is an arsenal of four products attacking cancer cells by different means and at the same time strengthening the body’s immune system and its ability to defend itself. This programme has been used for a large variety of different types of cancer. After using the programme for only a few days, many people started to see noticeable benefits including having more energy and skin colour improvement. The four products consist of Paw Paw Cell Reg, Immune Formula, Zambroza and Hi Potency Protease.

Paw Paw Cell Reg
Whilst each product in the programme plays an important role, the key product is Paw Paw Cell Reg, which disrupts the energy cycle of cancerous and abnormal cells. The high metabolic rate of theses cells stimulates a reaction with the active ingredients in Paw Paw Cell Reg resulting in inhibiting the cells energy. Abnormal cells reacting to these active ingredients are then less able to grow and develop. Many cells in this state become dormant or destroy themselves (apoptosis).

Immune Formula
This combination product effectively increases the white blood in the body, helping the body defend itself against abnormal cells and pathogens.

Zambroza
Independently, clinically proven to be the most powerful product on the market, Zambroza protects the body against free radical damage which is the root cause of many health problems including many types of cancer.

Hi Potency Protease
In large concentration, Protease (a digestive enzyme) is able to progress from the stomach into the bloodstream and helps break down the structure of the abnormal cells, which are effectively attacked by the rest of the regimen.

“Continue with this regime as long as necessary until 6 months after you have been given the all clear”

Can you take this regime during Chemotherapy?
When someone has chemotherapy, they will need to stop antioxidant supplements such as Zambroza as antioxidants make chemotherapy (excess free radical causing drug) less effective. Zambroza should be taken however, leading up to chemotherapy treatment and immediately after the course of chemotherapy treatment has finished. The other three products in this regime are not only safe to take during conventional treatment but they will also enhance the results.

Enhancing conventional treatment
Sometimes cancerous cells can recognize and reject familiar conventional treatments. With conventional treatment, when the chemical enters the cell, the cell pumps out the chemical before it delivers its desired effect (chemo resistant cancer cells). This pumping mechanism is dependent on the energy of the cell (ATP). The pump will stop when its supply of energy dwindles. If the energy can stay in the cell the treatment will be more effective. As mentioned above, Paw Paw Cell Reg stops the energy cycle of the cell therefore making the resistant pumping mechanism redundant and the treatment more effective. Conventional treatment also results in a low immune system and Immune Formula helps combat this by encouraging white blood cell production.

BREAST CANCER: Rates drop dramatically as women stop taking HRT

The rate of new breast cancer cases in the USA has suddenly dropped dramatically, and scientists reckon it’s because fewer women are taking hormone replacement therapy (HRT).
Millions of women stopped taking HRT for menopausal symptoms following a series of studies that linked it to a range of serious diseases, including breast cancer.
Breast cancer rates fell by 12 per cent in 2003 among women aged between 50 and 69, who were most likely to have HRT. UK researchers have reported a smaller, but still significant, fall in breast cancer rates among British women of a similar age.
Researchers from the University of Texas reported that 14,000 fewer women had been diagnosed with breast cancer in 2003, which coincides with a dramatic and sudden drop-off in those taking HRT after a study the previous year discovered a link between the drug and breast cancer.
Researcher Dr Peter Ravdin said: “It is the largest single drop in breast cancer incidence within a single year I am aware of. Something went right in 2003, and it seems that it was the decrease in the use of hormone therapy.”
(Source: BBC, 15 December 2006).
There are effective natural alternatives for a natural process that the medical profession treat as if it is a disease. These herbs will not deplete your bone minerals, add to the possibility of breast cancer or deplete you of vital vitamins and are avaialbe from Nature's Sunshine.

Think you live in the land of the free?

BANNED AND FINED: The price of selling apricot seeds (and extra virgin olive oil)

Spare a thought for Jim Wright, who ran a natural products company from his home in Wales. Following two dawn raids by enforcement agencies, his business has been closed down, he’s been fined £1,000 and has been ordered to perform 120 hours’ community service.
His crime was supplying some apricot seeds to an enforcement agent who claimed to be a desperate woman looking for a treatment for her husband who was dying from prostate cancer.
Once he sent the plant to the woman, enforcement agents from the UK’s Medicines & Healthcare Products Regulatory Authority made a second dawn raid on his home, and took away documents and the rest of his stock, including extra virgin olive oil.
The plant contained B17, or Laetrile, which was banned in Britain in 2002, despite overwhelming evidence of its role as a natural cancer fighter that has been used since the time of the ancient Egyptians.
It was the second time that Wright had been set up. The first dawn raid happened after he sold some natural products to a BBC reporter, who was pretending to be someone with a serious illness. Bizarrely, nothing that he sold on that occasion was illegal or banned.
If you do want to make sure you’re getting plenty of B17, despite the best efforts of our health guardians, you’ll find it in lentils, chickpeas, wild berries and brown rice. (Source: Alliance for Natural Health, 15 December 2006). Thought, Do the same enforcement agencies do dawn raids on the multi-nationals for selling 'happy-pills' that cause anxiety and suicidal thoughts, the MMR vaccine that 'allegedly' causes autism or HRT for adding to the breast cancer problem (see next post) - I think not.

The Daily Mail catches up!

Sooner or later the UK's top daily newspaper catches up with things we have been telling you at Wishing Well for some considerable time. Today's edition includes two excellent articles. The first states that "No-one should take the pill or HRT" on the grounds that the risk of breast cancer is grreatly increased but forgets mention that HRT can also deplete bone minerals and give you osteoporosis, and the second article states that so called "happy-pills" for depression just don't work - halleluia! People are waking up. The article goes on to say that by far the preferred treatment sould be a 'talking-therapy' but due to the post-code lottery this is not avaialbe for vast numbers of patients. So, they are given unsuitable pills that only make the multi-nationals richer and the poor sods on them slaves to medication.

This magazine is ace!

I reallly love this magazine, its always full of stuff you really need to know about. Read the article at http://www.nexusmagazine.com/articles/margarine.html and find out how we have been conned into not using cocunut oil. A fat that is miles healthier than soy, margarine, sunflower etc etc But here I go again, all the fats we are encouraged to use are manufactured by the profit not health multi-nationals.

What are they trying to Hide?

Dr Mercola, is trying to tell us about the hidden dangers of sugar and artificail sweetners but if you live in the UK and try to access the link you will get this:

Attorneys acting on behalf of the manufacturers of sucralose, Tate & Lyle PLC based in London, England, have requested that the information contained on this page not be made available to Internet users in England.

Makes you think doesn't it? Yet more proof that big multinationals are more interested in profit than our health?

Doctor's in Glass Houses

Cancer specialist attacks alternative therapies

Everyone knows the old saying 'People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones', everyone, that is, except Prof Jonathan Waxman, a cancer specialist at Imperial College in London.
He's been throwing stones at the alternative medicine and organic foods markets, which he says do nothing to help cancer patients other than to give them false hope, and generate vast profits for themselves in the meantime (I thought that was the role of the multi-national drug companies).
Prof Waxman states "It is the hope of clinicians that the snake oil salesmen that peddle cures and exploit the desperate will be tipped in the cobra-filled dustbin of oblivion," he writes in a vitriolic essay in the British Medical Journal.
To that end, all alternative strategies should be reclassified as drugs - as they all claim a cure (although few to my knowledge actually do) - and legislate them out of existence, he says. "Protect our patients from vile and cynical exploitation whose intellectual basis, at best, might be viewed as delusional," upon saying which he went back into his house, made entirely from glass.
First up with his own slingshot was Dr Damien Downing, medical director with the Alliance for Natural Health, a group that is fighting to safeguard alternative medicine against a barrage of EU legislation.
Prof Waxman assumes that, in contrast to alternative and complementary medicine, conventional therapies are tested by sound science. Sadly, that's not the case, says Dr Downing. A quick visit to the BMJ Clinical Evidence website reveals that, of the 2,404 treatments surveyed, just 15 per cent were rated as beneficial, while it's not known if 47 per cent are effective at all.
Turn to Prof Waxman's own specialty of oncology and the picture worsens. A study prepared in 2004 revealed that chemotherapy achieved a five-year survival rate of less than 2.5 per cent. Dietary changes are four times as effective in treating cancer, another study revealed.
Other doctors don't seem to share Prof Waxman's confidence in the scientific basis of medicine. Writing in the same issue, Aubrey Blumsohn, a consultant at the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals, says that doctors have allowed the drugs industry to sabotage medicine. "We have allowed (the drugs) industry to subvert the rules of science. We have watched quietly as governments and academics have colluded with industry to hide information critical to our patients. We have remained silent as our medical schools have churned out graduates who have no knowledge of the dilemmas and scandals of medicine. We have allowed many of our medical journals to become corrupted and timid," he writes.
Come to think of it, Prof Waxman's house isn't made of glass at all. It's constructed entirely from straw - just blowing in the wind.
